Brendan Fraser and Leonardo DiCaprio's reunion revealed a heartwarming truth about Fraser, the truth we suspected all along: he really is one of the nicest men in Hollywood.

Brendan Fraser and his role in Darren Aronofsky's The Whale has been a recurring topic of conversation lately.

Critics say the actor's performance is so good that he will undoubtedly receive an Oscar nomination for Best Actor. However, The Whale is not the only big movie Fraser has starred in recently.

A western crime drama directed by Martin Scorsese is Fraser's first experience working with the iconic director. Fraser plays a defense attorney in Martin Scorsese's Killers of the Flower Moon, a film based on the Osage Nation murder case. The film is set in the 1920s and was filmed in Oklahoma. Brendan Fraser stars alongside Robert De Niro, Jesse Plemons, Lily Gladstone and Leonardo DiCaprio, who also serves as a producer.

Killers of the Flower Moon has become the second film Fraser and DiCaprio met on the set of. Their acquaintance took place nearly 30 years ago on the Paramount lot when DiCaprio was starring in 1993's What's Eating Gilbert Grape and Fraser stopped to watch.

Fraser told GQ that at the time he was not much older than DiCaprio and was not a big-name actor himself, but he felt the need to approach the young actor and tell him how incredible his performance was.

Fraser was not the only one to think so. DiCaprio's performance in What's Eating Gilbert Grape earned the 19-year-old actor universal acclaim and his first-ever Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actor. The role made DiCaprio the seventh-youngest Best Supporting Actor nominee. However, his bright future did not seem so iron-clad to the young actor while he was still filming the movie.

Fraser's praise gave him the support he needed, and it stayed with him. When the actors reunited nearly 30 years later, it turned out that Leonardo DiCaprio had never forgotten their brief encounter on the Paramount lot.

"You were the only guy who didn't treat me like a little kid," he said to Fraser. The Whale star confessed to GQ that such a heartwarming acknowledgment was very meaningful to him.
