Fans of Young Sheldon have been pretty upbeat about Raegon Revord's portrayal of Missy Cooper throughout season 6. But her angst teenager performance in episode 15 has elevated her to almost being the star of the show.

While it might seem easy for a teenage girl to play a teenage girl, nailing the role in the way that Revord has is actually a tough act. TV history is littered with sitcoms revolving around family life. And a significant number of them include the classic stroppy teenage sister. So, to portray the role in a way that stands out is a credit to the young actor who surely has a bright future.

Redditors have described her as "a natural born actress" and said how she is "nailing it" in every scene she appears in. And it's hard to disagree with that sentiment.

The show is dealing with pretty big concepts right now, with George clearly seeping into depression as his marriage and family slowly crumble around him. Portraying a child in the middle of this situation at a pivotal time in her life is not easy – particularly when that portrayal relies on striking the right balance between drama and comedy. But Revord is getting it just right.

Where her story goes next is anybody's guess. But some users are predicting that she's off to a frat party (or similar) with Paige. That would certainly help to tie the Paige plotline into the overall narrative of the show. And it may offer some respite for McKenna Grace's character who right now appears to be in a handcart to hell.

That story needs a greater purpose. And who better to provide that than Raegon Revord who, while not exactly carrying the show, is certainly a standout performer right now.

She seems sure to at least be nominated for plenty of awards. And you'd have to imagine that there are a lot of TV and movie execs and producers who are sitting up, taking notice and wondering what she might bring to their future productions.

Fans, though, while raving about the performances of Revord, are less complimentary about Sheldon himself.

Most criticism is directed at the showrunners rather than Iain Armitage, but it's starting to feel like they have some major work to do for what could be the final season if they want the crux of the show to remain the life of Sheldon and not Missy.
