This Cult Franchise Just Returned to Netflix With a New Movie & Scored 100% on RT
The full-length movie will definitely not disappoint fans of the wonderful stop-motion franchise.
Netflix has released a full-length animated film Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl – a new installment in the adventures of an eccentric and childlike inventor and a loyal and clever dog.
What Is Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl About?
The inventor Wallace and his faithful dog friend Gromit are not doing too well with their finances. They receive dozens of reminders for unpaid bills, but there is no money.
Wallace still loves cheese and cannot sit still for a second without thinking of another unique gadget to help with everyday chores. Gromit enjoys reading books and digging in a luxurious garden.
Wallace creates a robotic garden gnome, Norbot, to help the dog tend to plants and flowers and mow the lawn. The assistant's skills impress the inventor's neighbors. A television crew even pays Wallace and Gromit a visit.
Norbot should be a hit and the couple's financial problems solved once and for all. But then Feathers McGraw, a crooked penguin, gets involved. Years ago, he tried to steal a priceless blue diamond. If it weren't for Wallace and Gromit, Feathers would have struck it rich.
Now the penguin, who is still serving his sentence in the zoo, begins to control Norbot. The garden gnome causes serious problems for the inventor and his dog, and Feathers tries to steal the same diamond again.
Vengeance Most Fowl Addresses the Most Pressing Modern Issues
Vengeance Most Fowl will probably not surprise big fans of the franchise, although it should be noted that the authors have chosen a topic that is in tune with our times.
Wallace is so enthusiastic about technology that he eventually comes across as a soulless inventor who has forgotten the most important thing in life – his friendship with Gromit.
It is worth remembering that robots can help around the house, but they can hardly replace a warm relationship with a kindred spirit. The dog has already forgotten when its owner simply stroked its head or scratched it behind the ear.
Vengeance Most Fowl Is a Thrilling Adventure With Nods to Classic Movies
Vengeance Most Fowl is partly an homage to The Terminator, although the animation also contains references to The Godfather or Murder on the Orient Express and laughs at mankind's fear of AI.
Feathers McGraw creates an entire army of garden gnomes, and the machines rebel against their creator. The movie pleases with the density of events and gives another excellent chase – this time on slow-moving boats along the city canal. Gromit still saves the day, and Wallace just comically waves his hands and clutches his head.
Vengeance Most Fowl Is a Perfect Choice for the Whole Family
The new animation from Aardman Animations is both a nostalgic return to familiar characters and further proof of the rapid evolution of technology.
The animation in Vengeance Most Fowl is nothing short of delightful, and the world of the movie is worked out down to the smallest detail. After the holidays, a new chapter in the adventures of Wallace and Gromit is the perfect gift for the whole family.
