Will There Be Ted Lasso Season 4? Nick Mohammed May Have Just Confirmed It
And now all the fans are hoping that this hint will turn out to be true.
In the spring of 2023, the third season of Ted Lasso was released on Apple TV+, which, according to the creators, was to be the last.
This was announced in 2022 by the writer and actor of one of the main roles, Brett Goldstein. For true fans, the news did not come as a shock, as main star Jason Sudeikis had previously hinted at the end.
Both argued that the finale of the series was a logical conclusion to the story. The creators ended the project beautifully: Ted Lasso received a bunch of nominations for Emmy, Golden Globe and other prestigious awards.
Rumors of a Possible Fourth Season of Ted Lasso Have Emerged in 2024
But later it turned out that fans may have said goodbye to their favorite characters in vain, and the show will be able to claim more than one award.
In August 2024, it was revealed that Warner Bros. was planning a fourth season of Ted Lasso. And it wasn't just rumors: the company had signed three actors to star.
Among them were Hannah Waddingham, who played AFC Richmond owner Rebecca, Brett Goldstein, who played former football star Roy, and Jeremy Swift, who played Richmond's director of football operations Leslie.
Nick Mohammed Hints at Filming Season 4
Since then, there has been no official confirmation of a fourth season of Ted Lasso, but recently Nick Mohammed, who played Nathan Shelley, seemed to confirm the filming of a new chapter of the most heartwarming show in recent years.
Mohammed posted a video on X telling fans that he has been forced to reschedule some of his Show Pony dates. The actor said:
“I know there'll be a lot of speculation as to why I moved these dates. I'll be honest, it is for some filming that I've not been able to shift.”
And while such a vague phrase could refer to the filming of another project, the actor's hands could be seen holding a sign that read "BELIEVE," no doubt referring to the same sign that hung in the team's locker room in Ted Lasso.
Who Else Might Return for Ted Lasso Season 4?
It was also stated that Apple would only develop the franchise if creators Jason Sudeikis and Brendan Hunt agreed to take on a new season. The producers are also likely hoping that Sudeikis and Hunt will reprise their roles as coach Ted Lasso and his assistant and friend Willis.
It is believed that Juno Temple, who played the role of Keeley Jones, may appear in Season 4. Phil Dunster may not reprise his role as striker Jamie Tartt due to his busy schedule. The actor also stars in Amazon Prime Video 's The Devil's Hour and Apple's Surface.
