Season 2 of the Shadow And Bone series is already available on Netflix. But even are not overly happy about it.

Warning: spoilers for Shadow And Bone season 2 ahead

Shadow And Bone is a fantasy series based on books by Leigh Bardugo. But as was clear from the first episode of the first season, the show's writers didn't follow the original plot blindly.

That's why The Darkling felt sweet at the beginning and Alina is about to turn to the dark side at the end of season 2.

Season 1 of the show was actually a hit. Fans were obsessed with the Ben Barnes and Jessie Mei Li duo and both their romance and power storylines.

But something went wrong in season 2. As usual, Netflix dropped the whole season at once, so true fans already binge-watched it and came to the conclusion that… it was a waste.

According to them, almost everything went completely off the rails.

"I just…I don't understand how they could have messed this up so badly. Like…you have BOOKS. You have actual storylines, PLOTLINES from basically a very detailed script already written. How did they mess this up so horribly?

The content is already written! Just…follow the books! It felt like way too much, and yet nothing happened. Half the fight scenes were horrible and way too slow. I can't believe they did this, and with such a stellar cast," Reddit user caywriter said.

After criticizing the writers' work, fans unleashed their criticism on the actors. Alina portrayed by Jessie Mei Li in season 2 seemed "one-dimensional" and they also expected more from Ben Barnes' character in the show.

But despite all that, there was one thing that actually made fans happy. It's the performance of Daisy Head, who portrayed Genya. According to fans, "she nailed every scene."

Fans pointed out that Head did an amazing job playing her character, making fans care for her deeply.

In season 2, Genya is tortured for her betrayal of the Darkling. She ends up with several deep scars and loses her eye.

Despite the fact that the scenes with her were so dark, she still became a ray of light in all the nonsense of Shadow and Bone season 2, according to fans.
