The Rookie's Schedule is a Hot Mess, and Fans Are Not Having It

"With the TV shows I watched, they like have one long break and that's it, but with The Rookie, it's like one week, two weeks, one, one, two, three (maybe I exaggerated but it feels like that). Pleaseee, I need a dose of serotonin aka new The Rookie episode," pleaded one fan.
Fans of the show have been voicing their frustration over the inconsistent schedule, with some saying that it's hard to keep up with the plot when episodes are airing weeks apart. "They need a more consistent schedule to keep up their fan base," another The Rookie fan wrote on social media.
Here's the thing, though: The Rookie is far from the only show with this problem. In fact, it seems like almost every show these days is guilty of taking long breaks between episodes (and yes, we're looking at you, SVU).
Sure, scheduling conflicts happen all the time in the TV industry. But when it feels like a show is taking more breaks than it is actually airing episodes, that's when fans start to get really annoyed. And who can blame them? We're all kinda busy people with busy lives, and when we set aside time to watch our favorite show, we'd really like to know that there will actually be a new episode waiting for us.
