You could say Arnold Schwarzenegger is to blame, even though the reason is quite unusual.

The worst movie according to Stallone is a little-known film called Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot, which was released in 1992.

During a panel at Beyond Fest, the actor revealed that he only took on the lead role in the movie because he was tricked into doing it.

"I made some foolish deals in the past," Stallone stated. "I said yes to some movies that I shouldn't have said yes to. That movie 'Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot was the worst. If you ever want someone to confess to murder, just make them sit through that film. They will confess to anything after 15 minutes."

Stallone's tough words for the movie have sparked a debate online, with many people wondering whether it really is the worst film ever made.

Some have argued that it's not even the worst film Stallone has made, pointing to other critical and commercial flops like Escape Plan, the final parts of Rambo or even the weird D-Tox horror.

But regardless of whether Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot really is this bad, Stallone's comments offer an interesting insight into the world of Hollywood.

It's not uncommon for actors to take on roles they're not entirely enthusiastic about, either because they need the money or because they're contractually obligated to do so.

It appears that Stallone's decision to take on that role was driven by a desire to outshine Arnold Schwarzenegger, who had then starred in the comedy movie Kindergarten Cop.

Despite his hopes for success, Stallone's film was met with harsh reviews from both critics and audiences.

Despite the setbacks, Sly's career in Hollywood has remained successful. He has been the lead in numerous blockbuster films such as the Rocky and Rambo series, as well as The Expendables franchise.

He has even been recognized with awards such as the Golden Globe for his exceptional performance in Creed.

The actor's statements regarding his experience with Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot serve as a reminder that even the most renowned celebrities are not immune to mistakes.
