If SVU fans can't have their Bensler endgame, at least leave their favorite characters alone.

As Law and Order: SVU continues to tease the fandom with a never-ending will-they-won't-they between Olivia and Elliot, people have drawn a red line that the show better not cross if it doesn't want fans to boycott it.

After all these years, SVU fans are used to emotional rollercoasters and the deaths of favorite characters, but now they're making it clear: if anything bad happens to Sergeant Odafin "Fin" Tutuola, they're done.

According to fans, Fin's death will cause riots in the fandom, and the show might as well be canceled if it decides to kill off the character.

In recent episodes, Fin has enjoyed "something of a renaissance," fans say, and it would traumatize people if the show suddenly decided to take that away.

"Fin, he's the only character left that I still like. I'm getting misty eyed just thinking of his leaving. It better not be soon and he better retire and not get killed off," Redditor Hockeyypie said.

Others point out that it's not even about Fin, but rather how uncomfortable it would be for the fandom to watch a show with little to no OG characters left.

Killing off Fin would mean getting rid of the show's second longest-serving character, and many people feel that the show simply can't be the same without him.

Currently, Fin seems to be safe in the show, but after all these years in the Law and Order fandom, people can't be sure about anything.

The only thing they seem to be sure of is that Fin's demise will cause riots and boycotts of the show, with the fandom already on edge over the exhausting uncertainty between Olivia and Elliot, the show's most popular pairing.

The new episode of Law and Order: SVU will air on February 23d on NBC.
