The platform got its own quirky version of Bridgerton, and viewers just can’t get enough of it.

Despite not heading to Netflix and its immense collection of movies and shows, new arrivals on other streaming services have absolutely nothing to complain about since they’re more than fine with dominating other global tops.

Inspired by all the charming atmosphere of the past centuries’ royal life that is still having Netflix’s viewers glued to their screens, Prime Video got itself another compelling historical drama which is holding the second place in the streaming’s global top 10 chart.

Released nearly a week ago, a brand new fantasy show My Lady Jane follows a fictional story of Lady Jane Grey who, according to the main rule of the 16th century in England, is forced into a marriage with Lord Guildford Dudley, a man she knows nothing about.

Amidst a weird plague that swept the whole continent and made some humans turn into animals, Jane finds out that her future husband has a dark secret which may cost them both their lives.

Trying to deal with all the chaos happening in her life, Jane also has to embark on a mission to figure out who came up with a conspiracy to kill her cousin Edward VI, the King of England.

Released on June 27, My Lady Jane received quite a warm welcome and climbed to the global top’s second position within several days after its initial release.

The show was critically acclaimed landing impressive scores of 93% and 81% from professionals and the audience respectively on Rotten Tomatoes, with many praising the brand new series for its humorous take on an obviously concocted story of English aristocracy, as well as for compelling characters that are funny enough to gain the viewers’ sympathy.

My Lady Jane is currently available for streaming on Prime Video.
