Insider Confirms This Iconic Marvel Character To Appear In 'Black Panther 2'
'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever' will be released later this year, but not much is yet known about the MCU's next big movie, and fans are discussing every little detail revealed in various scoops.
After the untimely death of Chadwick Bowsman, all plans for a sequel to his Black Panther character were in limbo. Marvel fans were even expecting a recasting for the role of T'Challa, but Kevin Feige announced that nothing of the sort would be done to honor the actor's legacy. All of this puts the upcoming film in the strange position of a blockbuster without a main character, with supporting players taking the lead. Not surprisingly, fans are worried, hoping that Ryan Coogler will still manage to make the picture a hit.
Nevertheless, despite all these problems, 'Wakanda Forever ' is still an MCU production, which means that a huge roster of characters from the original comic books will ensure that the movie will be a blast to watch even without its beloved late actor. And thanks to one well-known insider, fans finally have solid confirmation that the iconic antihero Namor will indeed appear in the film, albeit in a rather unusual fashion.
"There will be a flashback sequence in #BlackPanther #WakandaForever showing the Spanish invasion and colonization of the Americas. We will see an altercation between Namor's people and conquistadors." – @cinestealth.
Tenoch Huerta has long been rumored to play the role of an underwater hero, and it looks like those rumors are finally coming true. It is not yet known whether the people of Wakanda will fight or befriend Namor's subjects, but one thing is for sure: the idea of another indigenous society in the MCU definitely pleases fans.
"It's starting to sound like they are going to position Atlantis and Namor as a near utopian indigenous American society free of imperialism as a direct comparison to Wakanda, a near utopian African society free from imperialism. Sounds interesting." – /TylerMcFluffBut.
