To find the least interesting character in a soap opera is also a skill.

General Hospital is one of the longest running soap operas on American television. The series premiered on ABC in 1963 and since then holds the status of the most beloved soap opera, balancing its storylines on edgy plot twists.

For years, the viewers followed many different storylines of the show’s characters, and needless to say, there was a lot to handle. Multiple love stories and backstabbing, betrayals and forgiveness, new friendships, family revelations and so much more.

Over the years, it seems that almost every character has been the focus of the show, with some, like the Ashfords, Nina, Sonny, Carly and others, getting a little more screen time than others.

But now it seems that the writers have decided to put the least interesting character under the spotlight, and the fans are fuming.

“Finn is boring and is half of a couple with the least amount of chemistry seen ever imo. Why make this boring ridiculous character the focus of another storyline? You know he is going to drive drunk and kill somebody. Probably Violet or Gio,” Redditor DGhostAunt said.

All the fans say they are over the boring storyline surrounding Finn, urging him to "go to rehab" as he continues his downward spiral. Everyone around him, even Liz, who should have completely forgotten about the guy by now, is worried about him, but he still chooses to be a jerk to them and deny his problem.

So why focus on him at all, the fans think? But there is another take: maybe the writers are doing this on purpose – to really get rid of him soon? Well, if so, the audience will finally be happy.

If you don’t mind Finn, though, General Hospital is streaming on Hulu.
