General Hospital Fans Blame Writers for Ruining the Show Forever With This Boring Character
Such a waste of talent.
When a show is on air for many years, it only seems natural that you would want to follow it from the start till the end. But for the millions of General Hospital fans that might be a tough thing to accomplish since the soap opera has been on air for more than 60 years now.
Fans of the show have seen it all: love stories and betrayals, brutal deaths and bittersweet comebacks, friendships formed and ruined. But the desire to stay loyal to the show almost never left despite the many complicated and often bizarre storylines and even questionable casting choices sometimes.
However, one particular character seems to have ruined it all for fans of the soap opera. Can you guess who it is? Well, no need, we will tell you right now…
On February 26, the cast of General Hospital got an amazing addition in the face of Eva LaRue, the queen of soap operas and the beloved actress. But the character the writers of GH created for her is so annoying and unlikable that even the hardcore fans of the soap opera are ready to drop it.
She plays the part of Natalia Rogers-Ramirez, Alison's mother, and is endowed with the worst personality traits imaginable. Fans say that a homophobic character like her adds nothing to the story and actually makes it worse.
“It was such a great casting coup, too, to get Eva LaRue, who's soap royalty. I actually feel kinda bad for her that she got stuck playing such an utterly detestable character with seemingly no redeeming qualities. Not sure what about Natalia they thought anybody would like when they were tossing around ideas for what her character would be and this is what they came up with,” Redditor jcliff414 said.
All the storylines involving her just make the viewers angry, and they all agree that in the entire history of the show, there hasn't been a worse character than Natalia.
General Hospital is streaming on Hulu.
