The long-running show has a lot of potential to create beautiful couples, but instead the writers feed us something that only hints at romance.
General Hospital fans are not happy with the show's creative team.
It seems like they intentionally break up the best couples with chemistry and genuine interest in each other, but instead they keep the boring couples glued.
And that's what is bothering fans now. Michael and Willow's relationship seemed to come to its logical endpoint a long time ago.
But writers still keep forcing them onto the audience. Fans say the couple is "sanctimonious" and "annoying". And every time they appear on screen it's just cringe.
But fans have their theories on what could finally break them up.
"I think the only way Willow and Michael will ever break up is if Michael does something egregious that her eyes are opened and realizes he's the worst. I also think the moment they break up is the moment she'll turn to Nina or her aunt Liesl for help," Reddit user Questn4Lyfe said.
The other thing that may help fans to solve their problem is if Willow finds out about the dirty things that Michael was doing behind her back, like when she was sick or at the hospital.
Fans are sure that once she sees his other side she will definitely dump him.
One more reason they should break up is that according to fans, without Michael there will be no personal story left for Willow.
That's why the most radical fans even suggested Willow should just be killed off in the show… like in a car accident or something.
Despite all that, there are still true love believers out there on Reddit that actually see that Michael is a good fit for Willow and they are great as a couple too. He loves her, she loves him. What else do we need?
