Fans Already Concerned About Shuri's Fate in Wakanda Forever

The trailer for 'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever ' has made waves on social media, with fans ready to anoint the upcoming movie to be Marvel's best shot in 2022 merely for the beauty of the first sequences alone.

However, when one looks closely into the few details the trailer offers on the story, it immediately turns dark.

Fans noticed how Ramonda, the mother of T'Challa and Shuri, is heard saying: "I am the Queen of the most powerful nation in the world, and my entire family is gone. Have I not given everything?"

This is a pretty disturbing quote if you think about it, because it would mean that not only T'Challa but also Shuri is "gone", whatever that means. Naturally, fans started to prepare for the worst – even though Shuri is widely believed to be the next Black Panther.

However, it is Marvel we're talking about. In order to confidently say that Ramonda's words hint at Shuri's death, we need to know the full context. The phrase might have been said during some kind of the Blip flashback, or in a different movie circumstance that remains to be explained.

Some people argued that it would be too huge of a spoiler to put the quote into the trailer if it indeed meant Shuri's demise. However, Marvel does not exactly shy away from dropping big spoilers in the trailers. Still, everyone acknowledged that there might be various explanations for the quote.
