Every Marvel Trailer Revealed at SDCC 2022
Marvel panel at San Diego Comic-Con was, without any exaggeration, epic; with more than a couple of dozens of new and previously announced projects in development, the MCU is sure to keep us all entertained all through 2025 and beyond.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever
Possibly the most anticipated Marvel movie of 2022, Wakanda Forever, slated for release this November, finally got an official teaser trailer, effectively showing that the sequel is going to be a female characters-driven story. The teaser in and of itself was possibly one of the best Marvel ever produced: fans were left ecstatic not only with the visuals, music and acting, but with the emotional message as well, praising the teaser as a very fitting tribute to late Chadwick Boseman.
"No trailer has made me cry but this is an exception. The camera shots, the songs, the reveal of Atlantis, Namor, and Iron Heart. I love how this is a tribute to Chadwick Boseman and at the same time the sequel to the first Black Panther movie. This teaser is epic. Wakanda Forever!" said one of the Marvel fans on YouTube.
She-Hulk: Attorney at Law
Disney+ upcoming Tatiana Maslany-led series got its fair share of spotlight at SDCC. A new trailer announced Charlie Cox 's Daredevil return to the MCU and confirmed that the CGI has definitely been improved, much to fans' relief, while also featuring Wong cameo (looks like Benedict Wong 's character keeps being busy, popping up in almost every new Marvel project and being called by the MCU fans "the new Nick Fury"). She-Hulk begins streaming on Disney+ August 17.
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania
Unfortunately, Ant-Man threequel teaser was SDCC-exclusive and didn't find its way online, but at least we got a footage description. According to it, the teaser shows Scott aka Ant-Man (Rudd) post-Endgame, happy and content with launching his own book, Look Out for the Little Guy, and meeting with his readers in bookstores. While in one of these readers meet-ups, Scott gets a call his daughter Cassie is in jail. After that things escalate quickly: the whole family gets sucked into the quantum realm and separated, and Kang appears (although only as a voice-over by Jonathan Majors ). The teaser also featured a brief but welcomed cameo of Bill Murray's character: he is inside the quantum realm and apparently knows Janet Van Dyne.
Quantumania is set to premiere on February 17, 2023.
Disney+ series begins streaming in spring 2023. The SDCC-exclusive trailer was jam-packed with familiar faces: we got to see Nick Fury, Maria Hill, Talos and James Rhodes again, as well as some newcomers.
The trailer opens with Nick Fury and Maria Hill reunited on Earth: after Cobie Smulders' character claims Nick Fury has been avoiding Earth for years, he says that the current situation warranted his attention.
We then see Talos in his human form, who advises Fury to be "very careful"; apparently Talos is going to team up with Nick Fury to stop the Skull invasion. Don Cheadle 's James Rhodes makes a brief appearance in the trailer, with Fury asking him just how much does he know about his security detail. Olivia Colman 's character makes her debut as some sort of an authority figure, telling Fury that he "is in no shape for this." Her character is actually an old ally of Fury's.
Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3
Yet another piece of footage we didn't get to see online after all, GoTG 3 teaser trailer was introduced by James Gunn himself. The director once again confirmed that the story of the Guardians will be wrapped up in the third installment, set to premiere May 5, 2023:
"This is the end of that story. I'm sorry. Some stories have an end. It doesn't mean everybody dies."
The trailer reunites the viewers with Gamora, who apparently is leading Ravagers now and doesn't remember anything about the Guardians, however hard Peter Quill tries to win her back. Adam Warlock, played by Will Poulter, makes an appearance in the trailer, confirming all the rumors about the superhero's involvement in the MCU's future. By the end of the trailer the Guardians end up on Earth.
