Jenna Ortega is nothing if not savage like her character Wednesday. Remember when she said outright that she knew better than the show's writers? Like several times.

Wednesday 's star may not always know how to stay in her lane, especially when it comes to something she is passionate about, but so far, her girlbossing has only done the show good. Let's get a little bit nostalgic.

When Jenna Wasn't in Love with the Love Triangle Idea

If you hate the love triangle between Wednesday, Tyler, and Xavier, pat yourself on the back – Jenna is with you on this one.

The actress has repeatedly said that the complicated relationship stuff "makes no sense" for her character, and she has even confronted the show's writers about it.

Ultimately, she has had to "accept it," but Ortega is not going down without a fight in season 2.

She believes that with "Tyler off the table", Wednesday should be "off boys for a while." Jenna wants Wednesday and Xavier to develop "a sweet platonic relationship."

Considering she is now an executive producer, she will probably get more of a say in the matter!

When Jenna Refused to Say Out-of-Character Lines

Ortega is quite outspoken about her contribution to the rewriting of Wednesday's lines .

Her motto seems to be: "If I don't believe it, I won't say it." Must be tough to be a writer on this show if your lead actress doesn't really believe in your expertise.

Well, she can "feel" the character better though. The actress is not shy about the lines she refuses to say on the show, citing one in particular about a dress Wednesday has to wear for a school dance.

According to Jenna, her character is supposed to see the dress and go, "Oh my god, I love it. Ugh, I can't believe I said that. I literally hate myself."

Ortega has had to "put her foot down" on that occasion and several others – she has even thought she has become "almost unprofessional" because she keeps changing her line to give more "life" to her character.

Frankly, we believe Jenna knows a little bit more about what teenage girls would say in this or that situation. Sorry, not sorry, writers.

When Jenna Challenged Tim Burton Himself

Executive producer Tim Burton has originally wanted Wednesday to have even less emotion or expression, but has had to give in to Jenna Ortega 's vision, as she explains in an interview for Interview Magazine.

The actress has understood where he is coming from, but she has felt it will be impossible to do since "you're trying to move a plot along, and Wednesday is in every scene."

Well, knowing how hard Jenna must have fought for every little emotion, it just feels that much more precious.

Ortega admits to feeling "lost, confused, and defeated" because people don't trust her at times. Here is to Jenna using her voice even more in season 2!

We don't know about you, but we can't wait to find out how Jenna Ortega's creative vision influences season 2 of the show.

We are excited to see a more three-dimensional Wednesday any time!
