Get ready for an hour-long grand finale.

As the end of CBS' 2022-23 season draws near, fans of many shows are saving the date of their final episodes. While this may be the end for some shows, young Sheldon is still set to return for season 7.

There aren't many details about it yet, but it definitely reassures the fans who aren't ready to say goodbye just yet.

As of today, it looks like the main cast of Iain Armitage, Zoe Perry, Lance Barber, Montana Jordan, Raegan Revord, and Annie Potts will be back in their respective roles, and the season itself may air later this year.

Although it wouldn't be the end for the entire show, the producers of Young Sheldon decided to go all out for the season finale and make it double.

The Season 6 finale will air on Thursday, May 18 at 8 pm and will be a full hour long. Hopefully, it will help fans learn more about Sheldon's struggles without being too harsh.

While viewers all know that the show is technically a comedy, harder topics have become much more prominent this season.

Young Sheldon's End Might Be Just A Heartbreak Away

There's no escaping the storylines that have already happened in Cooper's life, but fans can only hope their hearts aren't completely broken.

After CBS announced a shocking three-season renewal for Young Sheldon in 2021, the Internet was flooded with memes and snarky comments.

Today, however, it seems that many fans are in favor of seeing more of their favorite character's childhood. Some are even suggesting that every stage of Sheldon's life be documented on screen:

The Young Sheldon Season 6 finale will be accompanied by the season finale of So Help Me Todd at 9pm and CSI: Vegas at 10pm. So if you're looking forward to hosting a watch party, May 18 might be the perfect day.
