Dear readers, aren't you excited about the upcoming Bridgerton season 3? Ever since Netflix and Shondaland announced the release dates, the promotions have officially started and the fans cannot hold back their excitement. Social media is already flooded with theories and suggestions, while the cast is traveling overseas for interviews and photo shoots.
The 8-episode season will be split into two parts, each packed with events. Although there are no official trailers or teasers from the production, and fans are left with only a few screenshots and the knowledge of the original source, that doesn't stop them from coming up with ideas about what's going to happen.
One of the characters viewers will certainly want to see more of is the dressmaker who dressed both the Bridgertgon and Featherington families in the previous two seasons, Madame Delacroix. She'll have her hands full with Penelope's makeover in season 3, but maybe she'll have a bigger role to play?
Will Madame Delacroix Be In Bridgerton Season 3?
One of the biggest turning points for Penelope Featherington in season 3 of the show will be a makeover. From a girl in yellow and orange dresses that don't suit her, she will be transformed into a lady that Colin Bridgerton will not be able to take his eyes off.
While makeovers for Bridgerton's leading ladies are a tradition, Penelope's will be special because it will be done on camera. And who better than Madame Delacroix to help her choose the right colors and fabrics? The friendship between Penelope and the dressmaker began on business terms, but it was clear that they were both willing to help each other.
Knowing Penelope's struggle to keep her Lady Whistledown papers published, Madame Delacroix knows how much she disliked the idea of throwing Eloise under the bus. However, she had no choice but to write about her activism, which led to the end of their lifelong friendship in the season 2 finale.
Growing apart was essential to developing both Penelope and Eloise and establishing them as two independent characters.
However, bringing them back together and rebuilding their relationship would be crucial to the story's happy ending. And this is where Madame Delacroix can help.
Since she has a strong connection to Pen and still works for the Bridgertons, Madame Delacroix is very likely to say something to Eloise to change her mind about the whole incident, or set up a meeting for Penelope to explain herself. Though it may not be enough at first, she may be the person who helps two girls take the first step towards each other.
If you are interested in seeing how Penelope and Eloise will reconcile their friendship, and what role Madame Delacroix might play in it, be sure to tune in to Netflix on May 16th to not miss the premiere of Bridgerton season 3 part 1.
