Bridgerton Finally Teases Fans With S3 Promotion, But There’s a Catch
No clues about season 4 before the right time comes.
Summary:
- Bridgerton is a TV adaptation of Julia Quinn's novel series of the same name, produced by Shondaland and Netflix.
- As a Christmas gift in 2023, fans got a release date announcement for an upcoming season 3.
- Now the main question is: who will be the main character for season 4?
- The ongoing media promotion doesn't give away any clues.
For the longest time, the Bridgerton fandom was concerned about only one question: when the upcoming Season 3 would be released. With all the secrecy surrounding the date, viewers were forced to come up with a plethora of theories, none of which turned out to be true.
Now that fans know they'll have to wait until May to see the first part of season 3, they're left with another question. Who will take over the show for season 4, and which book will be adapted next?
While some people are sure that after skipping Benedict's book for Colin's in season 3, the creative team behind Bridgerton will have to return to it in the next season, others can't be convinced so easily. Two other strong contenders for the lead role in season 4 are Eloise and Francesca, and the fandom has already developed some theories about both of them.
And the worst thing of all, the backstage from this season’s promotion that seems to be going on in New York right now does not help to determine anything at all.
Who Bridgerton Season 4 Is Going To Be About?
Throughout the previous two seasons of Bridgerton, fans witnessed pretty much the same technique of bringing in characters for the main storyline. In order to set up the story, the show put more emphasis on said characters in the previous season. The same was true for promotion.
The bigger of a role the character had, the more chances there were to see them in promo rounds.
For example, aside from the main characters, the promotion of season 1 included a lot of interviews with Jonathan Bailey, who went on to star in season 2, and the promotion of season 2 relied heavily on Nicola Coughlan's media presence, which led to her starring in season 3.
Now that the production team has flown some members of the cast to New York to meet with US media giants, many viewers thought they would get a hint about season 4 from the group.
However, Shondaland and Netflix have obviously stepped up their promo game and decided to tease fans for longer.
Both Luke Thompson and Claudia Jesse, who play the most obvious choices for season 4, Benedict and Eloise, are present for the promo round. Of course, this means that both siblings will play an important role in Colin and Penelope's story, so both have an equal chance to become the next lead.
The majority of the fandom is expecting the first promotional material for season 3 as early as February 2024, so all the secrets may be revealed sooner rather than later. Keep an eye out for more Bridgerton news and behind-the-scenes updates to be the first to know about the season 4 leads!
