The first part of the third season of Bridgerton has been released on Netflix, telling the love story of Colin and Penelope.

In an attempt to understand the diversity of personalities in Bridgerton, we have ranked the main characters of the series — from the most dominant Bridgerton to the real Mr. Charming.

5. Anthony Bridgerton

Anthony Bridgerton's self-confidence and stubbornness almost made him the main antagonist of the first season — it seems that the Viscount did everything he could to prevent Daphne from marrying the Duke of Hastings.

Anthony's desire to keep everything under control does not always benefit the rest of the Bridgerton family, especially the brothers, who at the age of thirty are capable of making important life decisions on their own. Fortunately, in the second season, Anthony meets Kate Sharma, who, if does not make him any less domineering, at least softens his overly harsh temper.

4. Eloise Bridgerton

In the first season, Eloise Bridgerton debuts as a bright girl who refuses to accept women's traditional roles in society. She avoids marriage and lavish events, preferring to spend time with her beloved books.

For all her virtues, the middle Bridgerton sister can be rude and even nasty, especially to those young women who do not share her feminist ideas.

3. Penelope Featherington

In ordinary life, Penelope Featherington seems to be the complete opposite of her alter ego — the witty Lady Whistledown, capable of uncovering any secret. Penelope is the middle and unloved daughter in the family, long resigned to the role of old maid.

However, behind the image of a shy and insecure lady, there is an intellectually savvy young woman with a keen sense of justice and great ambitions. When it comes to the happiness and safety of her loved ones, Penelope shows her best qualities. In addition, it is Penelope who exposes Marina for trying to trick Colin into marrying her.

2. Lady Danbury

The seemingly formidable but actually kind and warm-hearted Lady Danbury serves as a lifeline. Whenever one of the main characters is at an important crossroads in their lives, she is always there to give the right advice or help them take a step in the right direction. Thanks to her wisdom and rationality, Lady Danbury enjoys great authority in high society, sometimes outshining even the Queen herself.

In the first season, Danbury brings together Daphne and Simon, who do not immediately realize that they like each other due to personal prejudices. In the second season, she is again the main matchmaker, helping Kate sort out her feelings for Anthony. And in the third season, it is she who shows the Queen that Francesca deserves her attention.

1. Colin Bridgerton

The third eldest Bridgerton, Colin is a true hero — he is smart, noble and endlessly romantic. All of high society loves Colin for his charm and wonderful sense of humor, which helps to defuse any situation, no matter how tense. Colin is always ready to save Penelope from Cressida's merciless jokes and to support any of Eloise's tricks.

In the end, it is he who helps Daphne talk Simon and Anthony out of their crazy duel and exposes Portia Featherington's financial fraud. When Marina's deception is revealed, Colin is ready to forgive her and accept the child as his own (but fortunately for himself, he is rejected). Of all the Bridgerton brothers, he is definitely the most sensitive and caring.
