When you watch a sitcom, you hardly ever expect it to be deep and meaningful. You just watch it to have a few laughs with the one-dimensional characters, who every now and then surprise you by not being a caricature of human nature, but actually being relatable.
The most popular sitcoms are Friends, Seinfeld, Parks and Recs, and we really love them all. But there’s a rather new sitcom that you most certainly missed on AppleTV+, and we couldn't recommend it to you more.
The series we are talking about is Mythic Quest, which premiered on the platform in 2020 and has 3 seasons for now, with season 4 being currently in production. The show centers on a fictional video game studio company which produces a hit game called Mythic Quest.
The main characters of the series are the company's creative director and the game's developer Ian Grimm and his troubled staff. As the series begins, we find ourselves in the middle of a beef between him and his staff about the new expansion pack to the game.
At the center of the show are also the lead engineer, Poppy Li; head of monetization Brad Bakshi; and head writer C.W. Longbottom. All the time all of them end up in various bizarre situations, but leave them being different, better people.

What fans like about the show are the characters. They say that even though they are over the top, they have heart and you start to care about them when you realize that.

It’s always sunny is great, but Rob McElhenny and the other writers for Mythic Quest managed to create a show with some of the comedy style from IASIP and combine it with characters that grow over the course of the show,” Redditor cockles96 said.
