Bob Iger Announced Killing MCU Projects

It wasn’t long ago that the Disney CEO Bob Iger officially confirmed his intentions: the company planned on axing several MCU projects and reducing Marvel’s screen presence. According to the CEO, it was a hard but necessary decision to make.

“You have to kill things you no longer believe in, and that’s not easy in this business. <...> We reduced the output of Marvel, both number of films they make and the number of TV shows, and that really becomes critical,” the Disney boss said.

Until recently, we didn’t know exactly which franchises would fall victim to this policy, though the box office numbers were the best indicator. Indeed, according to fresh reports, Bob Iger is killing off the projects that proved to be least financially successful across the past few years, ending their respective stories for now.

Marvel Insider Revealed Doomed Franchises

A famous industry insider Daniel Richtman shared his information about Disney’s plans: according to him, there are already three Marvel Studios franchises that will cease to exist as Bob Iger redlit their sequels.
