Young Sheldon Might Be Gearing Up For a Terrifying Plot Twist As Soon As Next Episode

The next episode of Young Sheldon, scheduled to premiere on March 30, is titled A Stolen Truck and Going on the Lam — and some fans think it's going to be anything but wholesome and light-hearted.

According to Redditor UnderstandingOk4298, we should all start emotionally preparing ourselves for a possible car accident.

Missy, who takes George's truck to meet Paige, could get herself and Paige into a car crash — and for the sake of the drama, she will probably be the one who makes it, while Paige can be conveniently killed off by the writers.

After all, we know that Paige isn't a part of The Big Bang Theory, and since Young Sheldon is a prequel (albeit not a very canon-conscious one), it has to make sure that all the additional characters get some sort of a closure.

And it's not like anyone has promised us a good kind of closure.

However, not everyone in the fandom is ready to fully agree with the fan theory. Even if the writers will decide to kill off Paige, many people believe that a car accident is not something that will take her down.

In fact, a big part of the subreddit believes she might die from of an alcohol poisoning. Others argue that Paige dying in a car accident because of Missy would be way too dark for a show like Young Sheldon.

Still, is anything really too dark for this show? Young Sheldon has already explored some dark and potentially dramatic storylines.

After all, the entire fandom is afraid that the prequel might kill off George, since that's what The Big Bang Theory implies.

Ironically, many fans would like the prequel to step away from the canon and have mercy to the beloved character — even if it ruins the original show.

Well, maybe CBS will decide to spare George but still add some drama by killing off Paige. Not that it will save us from heartbreak, though...

The season 6 finale of Young Sheldon is scheduled for May 18. Until then, we have six more episodes to keep us on the edge of our seats.
