Young Sheldon Fans Finally Clock Who Can Be Georgie's Second Marriage Option

If there's one character whose future after young Sheldon is the most intriguing, it's the eldest Cooper son, Georgie. Though he's currently married to Mandy, raising their beautiful daughter, and ready to move on to the next chapter of their lives in a spinoff, the happiness won't last.

The show about Mandy and Georgie is called "First Marriage" for a reason: According to The Big Bang Theory, Georgie was married at least twice, and both times to different people, as both of his wives congratulated Sheldon on his Nobel Prize. So what happens to Mandy and Georgie? And who is his second wife?

What Happened to Georgie Cooper?

In addition to becoming the king of the Texas tire empire, Georgie had some ups and downs in his personal life. Even though viewers didn't learn much from The Big Bang Theory, and Young Sheldon and its spinoff don't have to follow the canon to the letter, fans still want a glimpse of his story.

According to information from the original show and the spinoff's suggestive title, Georgie and Mandy's First Marriage, the couple will be heading for divorce sooner rather than later. But what really interests fans is who will take Mandy's place in Georgie's second marriage.

Now, Young Sheldon fans are convinced it'll be Veronica Duncan. Portrayed by Isabel May, she was Georgie's love interest before he abruptly moved on. Fans have wondered why the character with whom the show spent so much screen time disappeared so quickly. As it turns out, May had a much larger arc.

According to The Tab, Georgie and Mandy's storyline with an accidental pregnancy was supposed to happen to Georgie and Veronica. The only reason it didn't happen was due to a scheduling conflict for the actress, who was filming for another show.

Although there is no confirmation from the actress or the team behind Young Sheldon, fans have already begun to speculate that Veronica will become Georgie's second wife if things go wrong with Mandy. That would also make sense in terms of Georgie's wives knowing who Sheldon is in order to congratulate him.
