Grey's Anatomy, the long-running medical drama, is known for its complicated relationships, a wide array of characters, and yes, steamy romance.

One of the most beloved characters in the show was Mark Sloan, portrayed by Eric Dane.

However, upon closer inspection, Mark Sloan's behavior might seem less respectable as one might've thought.

Many fans expressed their concern about Mark's actions, stating that they find the character "creepy."

While a befuddling notion at first, upon examination of the character, it's clear that this view is not entirely unfounded.

Mark Sloan is often referred to as an affable character with a heart of gold and looks of Greek god. However, the truth about his behavior in the show is different, if you think about it.

"He was creepy. And a bit sleazy. Also an arrogant a**. And I mean he changed later on, but in the beginning he didn't want to teach anyone, he thought he was just too good for that.

The whole "imma stare at your boobs Arizona" thing was so weird and gross. He was just overall not the kind of guy I'd ever want to be in a relationship with," Redditor annamariapix offers some harsh truths about Dr McSteamy.

And may Sloan's good looks not distract us when it comes to double standards too.

Fans rightfully mention that "he was mad at Lexie for having sex with Alex yet he was sleeping with Addison all the while."

And let's not forget how he flirted with a high schooler. Yikes.

And of course, there's the whole issue of Sloan sleeping with his best friend's sister and wife.

Some fans even question the very fact why many "idolize" Marc Sloan, stating that he was their "least favorite" character, at least in earlier seasons, as Dr McSteamy did have some redeeming character development prior to his passing in season 8.

Not to speak ill of the deceased, but while Grey's Anatomy may have portrayed Dr McSteamy as the charming heartthrob, the reality is certainly a bit different.

While the audience may have rooted for Mark Sloan, it's nevertheless essential to acknowledge the problematic and at times creepy behavior he displayed throughout his tenure on the show.
