DogTV is probably the weirdest streaming outlet you're going to hear about these days.

Just as the name suggests, it's literally a TV service aimed at dogs with content that will presumably have them entertained.

The people who created DogTV drew their inspiration in the emotions your dogs might be expressing seeing their humans go out the door and wishing they could go with them.

So, they tried to come up with a solution of sorts. Specifically, a streaming service aimed at our four-legged friends, that won't tell any stories to humans, but would aim at entertaining the canines.

The idea behind DogTV being that dogs can actually enjoy what is happening on TV screen of their human, and that dogs don't just "imitate" people or sit near them while some show is on only to keep company.

There is a myth that dogs only see in black and white, for example, but the truth is that there are colors that they like more than others. At least that is what DogTV creators took into account designing it.

This streaming service has three different types of alternating programming: Relaxation, Stimulation, and Exposure. They seem to have different kinds of visuals with various sounds effects.

While one of the reasons for DogTV to have been invented in the first place, is that you could leave it on while out, dog-owners don't seem to be too enthusiastic about it.

Although some dog-owners agree that their pets do enjoy DogTV, they wouldn't leave it on in fear that their dogs "would knock the TV down."

However, the word on the street is, the dogs are just not buying it.

The most common attitude Redditors who have turned DogTV on for their dogs, have noticed: canines just plainly ignored it. Humans agree that they "definitely won't be subscribing to [DogTV]."

Other concerns were also expressed as we're now apparently not the only ones television is aimed at.

"I am not encouraging a dog to compete w/ me over the tv!" Redditor randomfemale shares.

Should we, as humankind, rethink the entertainment industry to take those we tamed into consideration? While you might reflect on this, just don't turn the first John Wick movie on while your dog is around, please.
