Yellowstone Season 5 Will See Consequences of Jimmy's Biggest Decision
Season four of Yellowstone was monumental for Jimmy Hurdstram (Jefferson White).
The trusty ranch hand has always been dependable even if his life is filled with some serious turmoil. From being an unwanted bastard to joining the help at Yellowstone (and being branded as a result) – Jimmy hasn't been in much control of his life.
However, as season five unravels over the winter, the 37-year-old actor insists that's all about to change.
Near the conclusion of season four, Jimmy makes a crucial decision. When offered the chance to determine his own path, for once, Jimmy elects to leave Yellowstone and join 6666 Ranch in Texas.
Yellowstone is a Misguided Lesson About What It Means to be a Strong Woman
The new course of action is likely to spark plenty of drama as Jimmy must deal with the consequences of his actions. Jefferson White recently discussed the new direction of his character with Den of Geek.
During the interview, White had many secrets to reveal about Jimmy with season five officially here. "[Jimmy] spent four years getting his a** kicked, and falling off horses, and getting beat up. So it's an amazing thing that for the first time in season five, he's sort of found some steady footing."
The decision to leave Yellowstone for "The Sixes" ranch in Texas is a "real, really incredible gift" for the ranch hand who is looking to make his own legacy. Nevertheless, it frequently seems like disaster follows Jimmy everywhere, and 6666 Ranch will be no exception.
"It's interesting, because there's accountability that comes with that [decision], right?" If you make the decision yourself, you're responsible for the consequences of your decisions," Jefferson continued about Jimmy's big relocation. "I think Jimmy has been a follower his entire life… he doesn't have a Rip down in Texas."
Ah, yes, Rip (Cole Hauser) was crucial to Jimmy's development as he watched the young man evolve under his tutelage at the Dutton Ranch. Now, Jimmy will not have the same luxury at the Sixes and may eventually regret his decision to leave. If history proves anything, the Duttons hold a grudge longer than anyone. It's something that also makes the actor anxious when considering Jimmy's fate. "I'm nervous for [Jimmy]. I'm always nervous for him."
Yellowstone Fans Are Ready To Boot One Character From The Show Already
Regardless of what future Jimmy has on Yellowstone, it's anticipated he'll be a part of the cast for the upcoming spin-off, 6666. The Sixes spin-off is one of the numerous adaptations of the popular Yellowstone TV series. Notwithstanding, details have been limited regarding the show, especially compared to other prequels like 1883 and 1932.
Do you think Jimmy's decision to leave Yellowstone for the Sixes in Texas will come back to haunt him?
