News flash: Yellowstone is still getting worse.

It's almost mid-season finale for Yellowstone 's fifth chapter, and the show is nowhere near getting as good as it once used to be. In fact, fans are starting to consider Yellowstone as the example of a "worst decline of a show" ever.

It has been six episodes, but "nothing substantial" has happened so far, and fans believe that at this point, the storyline is either dead or about to die.

"There is literally no plot or storyline, the show has turned into a giant country music video and that's it. This almost reminds me of the instant decline Dexter took back at the height of its popularity," Redditor mikeyhol noted.

Other fans refer to the show exclusively as "pathetic" and "frustrating", arguing that Yellowstone should definitely wrap things up after season 5. Now that only one episode is left until the first part of the season is over, many fans are ready to call it quits in case episode 7 does not deliver any actions just like the previous six didn't.

However, there are people who agree with the opinion that Yellowstone is degrading, but are still invested in the universe enough to keep watching and hope for a turnaround. To be fair, there is still time for Yellowstone to make their dreams come true, as season 5 is the first season for the show to be split into two parts and have 14 episodes instead of 10.

Episode 7, which is set to wrap up the first part, is due to premiere on Paramount Network on December 18. The release date for episode 8 is yet to be announced, so Yellowstone fans will have to brace for a potentially long hiatus...
