We, too, have had our fair share of speculations about the showdown in the past… But now, we’ll give you one better: the actual reveal of the iconic TV show’s finale — at least, when it comes to its four central characters.

Three Characters Will Survive The Yellowstone Finale

While we still can’t be sure about the exact events of Yellowstone Season 5 Part 2, the latest Puck report gave us just enough information to deduce the three characters who will survive the last showdown. Kayce Dutton, Beth Dutton, and Rip Wheeler will all remain alive and kicking by the time the final credits roll out.

The reason for such confidence on our side is that currently, Luke Grimes, Kelly Reilly, and Cole Hauser (the Kayce, Beth, and Rip actors, respectively) are all in negotiations about joining the Yellowstone sequel spin-off — the one starring Matthew McConaughey and (potentially, as we recently wrote) Michelle Pfeiffer.

Seeing how the three actors would have to reprise their respective roles in the spin-off, it’s safe to assume their characters will live through the Yellowstone finale.

One Character Will Die In The Yellowstone Finale

However, not everyone will be as lucky as that trio, and our most keen-eyed readers have probably already deduced who’s the deadman. That’s right: seeing how both Beth and Rip are guaranteed to survive the showdown, it’s only fair to say that Jamie Dutton will be out of the picture, ultimately losing the fight against the other Duttons.

Judging from the report, Wes Bentley (the Jamie actor) hasn’t been approached about reprising his role in the spin-off series, either, which supports our theory. We’re positive that Jamie will die in Yellowstone Season 5 Part 2, but let’s be honest: we’ve all seen this coming from a mile away as soon as he decided to go against his family.

Of course, Jamie Dutton won’t be the only central character to die; he’s merely the only one we’re sure about. Even John Dutton, the head of the family, will most likely meet his demise in the finale unless Kevin Costner somehow convinces Taylor Sheridan to mend the fences and return to the original ending plan starring him.
