Sandra Bullock may seem like a great mom on the outside, but is she really? During the filming of Bird Box, the actress might have shown her true colors.

In 2018, the psychological thriller Bird Box came out and became a worldwide phenomenon. It was even the most-watched movie on Netflix at the time (it is currently in third place, which is still pretty impressive!).

Just before the movie's release on Netflix, star Sandra Bullock went on The Ellen Show to talk about her experiences on set, and boy did she deliver!

While discussing how Sandra filmed half of the movie blindfolded and how she was extra careful in the scenes with the children, Ellen shared her thoughts – that it "must have been so hard to yell at those kids."

The actress surprised her and the entire audience when she revealed that it had actually been "really easy." Bad mom alert?

On the contrary! Sandra went on to say that this reaction was the most realistic of all because "you never let yourself get to that place unless you're really scared."

This makes a lot of sense – if a child is doing something extremely dangerous (that could potentially cost them their life), their parent isn't going to be all lovey-dovey and just say "get over here" in a calm, carefree voice.

Any parent will be freaking out and yelling at the top of their lungs, afraid that something might happen to their kid.

The star also mentioned that parents "don't get to that place because there's usually people watching," so they have to act more appropriately, despite being scared.

In a way, Sandra's role in Bird Box has allowed her to erase all the socially accepted boundaries and have at it. What an unlikely fun experience that must have been!

Anyway, the movie has turned out to be a huge success, so we think that we can all forgive Sandra for enjoying her screaming matches with her on-screen children.

It just adds to the whole atmosphere that keeps you on your toes, right?
