You thought that She-Hulk: Attorney at Law was scandalous before? Wait until you know what fans think of the final twist.

Warning: the following article contains spoilers for She-Hulk: Attorney at Law episode 9

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law has been weathering a lot of controversy as it was streaming on Disney Plus, but it seems that the final episode has unleashed true fan fury.

It's not like this show has tried to conceal that it is all about self-awareness, irony, and breaking the fourth wall. However, in the final ninth episode, Jennifer Walters went as far as demolishing it to the point when she breaks into the actual writers' room, speaks to an AI named K.E.V.I.N. — yep, an homage to that very Kevin you are thinking of — and demands that the creative team behind the show establishes her place in the MCU firmly.

What some people deemed to be a perfect ending for a show that has been ironic all along others blasted as "the worst finale" imaginable, accusing She-Hulk of turning virtually everything into a joke — even though a certain moment from the final episode appeared to be enjoyable even to the critics.

"Jeez, this episode was really horrible. Honestly, the whole show was bad. The only good thing in the last ep is HULK revealing his son. Worst marvel show to ever exist," Twitter user C0SMIC_VIBEZ argued.

Other fans called the finale "a train wreck" and "an absolute mess", even though some viewers tried to persuade them that was the entire point.

Some people were quick to remind haters that the ending was actually taken straight from the comics.

In fact, the finale turned out to be quite divisive, because, while not leaving anyone indifferent, it either made people hate it or love it. Some rejoice over how "self-aware" Marvel is, and others are, on the contrary, absolutely not okay with that.

Still, no matter how controversial the final episode of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law was, it definitely sets up the stage for the future MCU projects, not least due to Bruce Banner casually introducing his son Skaar — something that could potentially lead to World War Hulk or any other Hulk-related storylines. Besides, the finale has established Matt Murdock's place in the MCU as well — right ahead of this comeback in his own solo show, Daredevil: Born Again.
