#Carson is very likely to strike once again.

When a show runs as long as General Hospital, there are not as many combinations of characters as you might think.

Some of them are incompatible even by soap opera standards, and some are just so hated by the fanbase that the writers don't even dare go there.

Since both Maurice Benard and Laura Wright are among the show's most recurring characters, it's only fair to assume that the love story between their respective characters, Sonny and Carly Corinthos, isn't over yet.

Especially considering that 2023 will be the 60th anniversary of General Hospital. What better anniversary to celebrate than a good old-fashioned nostalgic reunion?

Even though Sonny and Carly have already been through so much and gone their separate ways, it's likely the writers will decide to bring them back together just for the sake of a heartwarming moment.

They would be lucky if it ends up being heartwarming and not cringe-worthy at all, but the hope for that is very slim.

Just as there probably wouldn't be much chemistry, emotion and trust left between someone who's been on and off for so many years, it wouldn't be any different on screen.

But with all the clues hidden in the last episodes, it's easy to see that General Hospital doesn't care about that at all.

However, Maurice Benard has his own way of predicting the future of his character's love life. Back in April, he posted a video of a duck named Carly and asked her if they'd get together anytime soon.

The answer was very quick and negative: at least the duck version of Carly was sure that such a thing would not happen in the near future.

Whether or not the duck Carly was actually right about the General Hospital character of the same name, we will have to wait and see.

Tune in to General Hospital on ABC Monday through Friday to make sure you never miss a thing!
