Will Jared Padalecki Get a Cameo In 'The Boys'?
With 'Supernatural' star Jensen Ackles joining Amazon Prime's series as the Soldier Boy, fans of the CW show hope for the actor's reunion with his co-star. And it looks like 'The Boys' showrunner has something to say about it.
The series centers on Billy Butcher's (Karl Urban ) quest to kill the villainous superhero Homelander (Anthony Starr), responsible for the death of his beloved wife. The adult take on superheroes has had millions of viewers glued to their screens, attracting many big stars for the third season, including Ackles, known for his role as Dean Winchester on The CW's hugely successful mystery show. As the creator of 'Supernatural ' Eric Kripke serves as showrunner for 'The Boys ', fans are beginning to wonder if Jared Padalecki might also find his way into the show.
Of course, a proper recurring role for Padalecki seems almost impossible given the actor's current 'Walker ' schedule, but a potential cameo could certainly happen. In a conversation with Variety, Kripke touched on this pleasant possibility.
"I would love a Jared cameo! He's always welcome on the show. Up to now, the guy is on a network show that has however many episodes — like, a lot more than eight. So, he's working all year and now he's producing his spinoff and he's got a whole empire going on over there. But if he was free and found himself currently unemployed, I would put him on 'The Boys' in a heartbeat," Kripke said.
It looks like the 'Supernatural' reunion will still take some time to become a reality, and some fans are perfectly fine with that, arguing that Padalecki's good guy image shouldn't be tainted by the controversial 'The Boys' series.
"I rather have Jared remain a good guy as there are too many bad guys and killing machines . The world needs a role model. Jared does it the best. I would rather have him be like a good thinking scheming villian like Snapes who ended up as a good guy, IMHO", – @4EverEternalist.
