Wild Hunger Games Theory Uncovers Surprising Connection Between Katniss and President Snow

Even though we already have five Hunger Games movies based on four novels by Suzanne Collins, the world of Panem and the mysteries of its residents are not completely solved.
This includes one of the biggest intrigues of the franchise - the identity of the father of Katniss, the main character of the saga, who volunteered to take her sister’s place in the 74th Hunger Games and then went against the system.
One of the boldest Reddit theories suggests Katniss can be related to the franchise’s villain, the ruthless and shrewd dictator, President Coriolanus Snow. It proceeds from the similarity of the main heroine and Lucy Gray, the character of the Hunger Games prequel, The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, who was President Snow’s love interest.
The main assumption is that Lucy got pregnant after her brief romance with Snow in District 12, and the baby was Katniss' future father, making Snow her grandfather.
It is confirmed by the brief description of the main heroine’s dead father in both books and movies: he taught Katniss music, including the song The Hanging Tree, which was written by Lucy Gray, being a member of a group of musical performers.
If this theory is right, the whole relationship between the two Hunger Games antagonists can be seen from the other side. They clearly haven’t got a single idea that they can be related, as it doesn’t come up in their speeches and actions, but, nevertheless, it alters the approach towards their feud. Keeping that theory in mind, the story of a grandfather fighting against his own granddaughter is seen as harsh.
However, there is a significant problem with the assumption of the heroine of The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes being Katniss’ grandmother. Given the final Lucy Gray scenes in the prequel, it’s not clear where she ran after Snow tried to shoot her and whether she returned in District 12, from which Katniss and her family come from.
