Where Is Downton Abbey Allen Leech Now?
There’s no need for Downton Abbey fans to worry — Tom Branson will be back soon.
The fan-favorite British historical drama series Downton Abbey may be long gone, but its story is probably still far from being over.
Having started as an extremely successful show back in 2010, Downton Abbey transformed into a no less successful franchise, expanding its universe with three more sequel movies, with one of them set to bring all the characters back to the screen sometime in 2025.
The future film has no title yet, but it will surely see Allen Leech’s return as Tom Branson, a character that initially wasn’t supposed to go that far in the story, eventually becoming one of those who push the whole plot further.
Though Leech is once again set to reprise his probably most prominent role, the actor so far had no trouble with other promising projects that he had helmed during the last couple of years — and there may be a chance for him to appear on screen more frequently next year.
Where Else Did Allen Leech Film Apart From Downton Abbey?
After wrapping it all up in Downton Abbey, Leech moved on to other TV roles, landing cameo roles in major TV shows like Black Mirror and The Good Doctor, but then bigger things came in his way.
The actor got one of the leading roles in an Irish series The Vanishing Triangle that was released earlier this year, while also helming a psychological thriller miniseries Too Good to Be True as an executive producer and one of the lead actors as well.
When it comes to movies, Leech’s filmography doesn’t go much further than Downton Abbey’s long-standing franchise though.
Starting from 2018, the actor appeared in the Rami Malek-led biopic Bohemian Rhapsody and the 2024 thriller You Can’t Run Forever, while also having credits for Tom Branson’s role in the 2019 sequel Downton Abbey and 2022 Downton Abbey: A New Era.
