Where Is Chicago Fire’s Lauren German Now?
It looks like the actress went off the radar.
No matter how many devastating deaths and sad exits Chicago Fire has had in its 12 seasons, the most impactful will forever be Lauren German's Leslie Shay.
Though there was much discussion and speculation about whether it was a wise decision to kill off her character so early in the show, the Chicago Fire brass was going for an emotional twist. And that's what Shay's death will always be remembered for.
Luckily for Lauren German, her career didn't end up buried like her character's. In fact, it only skyrocketed higher than ever when she left Dick Wolf's procedural and began looking for other opportunities.
Lauren German Filmography
Now best known as Detective Chloe Decker from Fox's Lucifer, where she starred opposite Tom Ellis, who portrayed the titular character, the actress is hardly known for her role on Chicago Fire. However, she has more titles to be proud of in her career.
Even before landing the role of Leslie Shay, the actress made her way into television and film with the iconic 2003 horror film The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and then landed the lead role of Lori Weston in the second season of Hawaii Five-0.
Unfortunately, there hasn't been any good news for fans of German's acting talents so far, as the actress took a step back after finishing her run in Lucifer. Since then, she hasn't been able to secure any TV or film work.
What Lauren German Has Been Doing After Lucifer?
Putting endless auditions aside doesn't mean the actress has decided to try her hand at something far away from the creative field.
Judging by the most recent posts on her Instagram account, Lauren German has taken a different path to spend more time developing her artistic skills and style. Even better, the actress has teamed up with L.A.'s Children's Hospital to use her artwork for charity. So, it looks like things are going up to German in that area of art as well.
