Where Is Bridgerton’s Daphne Now, and Will She Return in Season 3?
Have we lost a sister already?
While Bridgerton is first and foremost a love story, the relationship between the siblings and their mother plays a very important role in each season. And although viewers have only seen the first 4 episodes of season 3, it is already apparent that the family bond plays a major role in the way each Bridgerton views the world.
Two characters who offer the most support and parental advice are Violet Bridgerton, the matriarch of the family, and her older son Anthony, who had to step into the role of viscount and find the strength to raise his siblings at the age of 18. However, there was another sibling who could have provided a lot of insight throughout the series, but has yet to appear.
Daphne Bridgerton, who is missing from season 3, is one of the show's weakest links.
Will Daphne Be Back for Bridgerton Season 3?
Daphne Bridgerton is the eldest of the Bridgerton sisters and the fourth child after Anthony, Benedict and Colin. She made her debut in season 1 and has since appeared in season 2 in her new role as the Dutchess of Hastings. Although Phoebe Dynevor agreed to come back once, she won't appear in season 3.
Fortunately for fans, there was no bad blood between the actress and the production. If anything, according to current female lead Nicola Coughlan, both Dynevor and Simone Ashley offered her a lot of support. At the moment, however, Phoebe Dynevor needs time and space to explore other acting opportunities.
Where Is Phoebe Dynevor Now?
Coincidentally, the first season of Bridgerton premiered and became a phenomenon in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, so all the cast members had to experience sudden fame and the famous ‘Netflix effect’ from the comfort of their own homes.
However, once the actors were cleared to return to work, their careers took off. In 2021, Phoebe Dynevor starred as Clarice Cliff in the biographical drama The Color Room. 2022 brought two more projects to her filmography: the comedy Bank of Dave and the psychological thriller Fair Play.
Today, fans are eagerly awaiting the release of another film starring Dynevor alongside Diane Lane, Zoey Deutch and McKenna Grace. A thriller titled Anniversary will follow the lives of several members of a once tight-knit family who have fallen victim to a new movement called The Change.
For her dedication to building a blossoming career and for delivering a variety of great performances in such a short time, Dynevor was nominated as a Rising Star by the British Academy Film Awards.
If you want to see one of Phoebe Dynevor's most impressive acting performances to date, Fair Play is available for streaming on Netflix.
