What’s the True Story Behind Sex and the City’s Most Stunning Character?

Sex and the City is considered to be an iconic series for many reasons. For starters, it’s like a handbook on how to behave (or not to) if you want to be a happy woman. There are so many different characters that you will definitely find someone to relate to.

Then of course there comes the fashion side of the show. With Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte, and Samantha being total fashionistas, women all over the world have just gathered so many outfit ideas from the series that even now, many years after the show ended, are still dubbed iconic.

But there was one particular character whose brief performance in the show made fans go crazy. Yes, it’s Amalita Amalfi, Carrie’s friend from “another” world. Although Amalita wasn’t a part of Carrie’s core friend group, when those two accidentally met in a boutique, they were still genuinely happy to see each other.

More to that, Amalita paid for her friend’s expensive shoes and invited her to have dinner with her sugar daddy and his friends. Well, what happened there is ancient history now. Later in the episode, Carrie ran into Amalita once again until this star of a character became history herself.

However, there was more to Amalita's story in the original book. The thing is, her role in the novel was much bigger than in the show, which is why many fans were wondering what really happened to her.

At one point, Amalita suddenly found herself at the lowest point of her life with no money or possessions. She was forced to rent a tiny apartment somewhere off the beaten track in New York and barely made ends meet.

Though that didn't last long. Amalita rose from the ashes to become an independent, successful woman that the audience came to know in the show. Now, fans of Sex and the City and And Just Like That are dying to see this awesome character in the spin-off.
