What Happened to Tom Ellis After He Played TV's Hottest Lucifer?

Have you ever been in love with the Devil? If not, you most certainly never watched the Lucifer series with Tom Ellis as a main star. The story of the show is based on the Devil from the DC Comics, and we got Ellis as this charming and incredibly magnetic fallen angel who became the Lord of Hell.
But the Lucifer we got in the show is not evil, he’s more of a chaotic troublemaker and the one who can bring out people’s darkest secrets. As the show goes, we see him escape Hell and end up in LA, where he lives to the fullest. Girls, drugs, alcohol – these are all an essential part of his life.
However, everything changes when he meets Detective Chloe Decker. Eventually they start working together as detectives, and the rest is history... We don't want to spoil the whole series for you.
The last season of the show was released in 2021. But after that we didn’t see that much of Ellis on screen. So what was he up to all this time?
Well, as it appears after the iconic show was finally wrapped up, he had a real desire to spend some time with his closest people. The actor has three daughters from two previous relationships. And as he claimed, the Covid months, when he wasn’t able to see them, were a real torture.
Tom Ellis is now married to producer and screenwriter Meaghan Oppenheimer. And after a much-needed break from work, he is ready to return to the screen – this time to the big one. And his wife is the one helping him with that.
The actor will soon be seen in a new rom-com Players, where he will be the leading star along with Gina Rodriguez. So far, we know that the movie shares a similar concept to Will Smith ’s movie Hitch, which ultimately means this will be something definitely worth watching.
If you haven’t watched it, the rom-com classic revolves around a so-called “date doctor” who earns his living by teaching people how to, well, date. But surprise surprise, his methods suddenly don’t work on a very certain someone! Sounds familiar, doesn’t it?
