Johnny Depp is clearly in a better place than his ex-wife is.

At the beginning of June 2022, the trial between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard ended, Depp won $ 10 million, which his ex-wife should pay him.

After Heard lost the trial, she decided to give a candid interview to NBC.

Speaking to reporters, Amber hinted at the bias of the jury, but noted that she does not hold a grudge against them because Johnny Depp is a fantastic actor and people think they know him well as a person.

The actress also called the persecution against her unfair (crowds of people outside the courthouse screamed to "burn the witch") and said that under psychological pressure she could confess to things she didn't really do.

Nowadays, Johnny Depp is back in the spotlight, starring in his first productions since scandalous trial, while the actress has decided to approach her career in a very different way.

The DC star sold her house, left Hollywood for Spain and, at least for the time being, has no intention of getting involved in any big projects.

Actress' friend revealed to Daily Mail what Amber Heard is doing now in Spain:

"She's bilingual in Spanish and is happy there, raising her daughter away from all the noise. I don't think she is in any hurry to return to work or to Hollywood, but she will probably come back when the time is right for the right project."

However, fans of the actress will be able to see her in at least one major project – Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. Heard had to fight hard to continue working with Warner Bros.

In 2017-2018, the movies Justice League and Aquaman were released, in which the actress played Mera. This role, according to Heard herself, was a turning point in her career.

However, due to the divorce proceedings with Johnny Depp and negative comments in the media, Warner Bros. did not want to include her character in the continuation of the franchise.

In the end, after long negotiations, she did appear in Aquaman 2, but her character's screen time was greatly reduced.
