'Wakanda Forever' Leak Confirms Killmonger Returning
It looks like Michael B. Jordan will return to his famous villain role, but not in the way fans thought he would.
The new chapter of the Black Panther story is by far the most anticipated MCU movie, as millions of fans want to pay tribute to the late, great actor Chadwick Boseman. And it seems that some of the original cast members decided to appear in the sequel for that reason alone – even though his character was killed off at the end of the first film, Jordan will reprise his role as Killmonger, but will act as a more heroic figure than before.
According to famous insider DanielRPK (via Reddit), Killmonger will help Shuri become the Black Panther by guiding her on the Ancestral Plain. Yes, Shuri will indeed become the new bearer of the superhero name, helping to keep Wakanda safe from Namor's army, who is the main villain of the upcoming movie. Despite the surprise that Killmonger will be the good guy, fans are very excited to see him again, lamenting the fact that he couldn't become Black Panther himself.
"I'd honestly kinda prefer Killmonger as the new BP than Shuri, if only cause I love MBJ and not a huge fan of Leticia Wright." – /tokidoe.
Some believe Jordan's decision to return to the MCU is solely due to the fact that 'Wakanda Forever ' will be Chadwick Boseman's last film.
"Because people liked MBJ and Chadwick is dead. Considering this entire film acts as a tribute to him, I'm guessing this was how MBJ wanted to honor him." – /Zucchini2024.
And to fuel the discussion, some fans believe Killmonger didn't even die in the first movie, accusing the insider of spreading misinformation and claiming Killmonger will be the new Black Panther this year.
"Killmonger was the least dead "dead" person in a movie. He was stabbed and closed his eyes. It wouldn't even technically be a reverse dead, just "yeah, he passed out and we helped him". – /NotTroy.
