Voldemort Sealed His Fate in the Dumbest Way Possible by Killing Snape, Here's Why
The decision to kill Severus Snape during the Battle of Hogwarts virtually doomed Voldemort either way which surprisingly no one even realized. We’ll prove it.
Let’s say you’re the Dark Lord who’s in the midst of the Battle of Hogwarts. While the fight is seemingly going in your favor, you suddenly realize that your main enemy has too big of a chance against you: you can’t possibly allow that. You assess the risks.
The boy you’re trying to kill has built-in protection against you, but you’ve overcome that obstacle by now by creating a new body for yourself that has his blood in its veins. His wand has a connection to yours, but this one’s also kind of solved by now since you’ve acquired the Elder Wand which is more powerful and has no twin core.
Everything seems OK, but the Elder Wand is still bugging you: after all the weird duels you’ve had with the boy, you’re afraid that you don’t have complete control over your weapon as you believe it's your servant who became its master many months ago. And you know of only one way to take over the control.
Killing the current owner of a magic wand is how you become the weapon’s new master — or so you believe. You decide to kill your servant to truly control the power of the Elder Wand and obliterate your biggest enemy — the 17-year-old kid.

You find your servant, explain the situation to him, and want to proceed with the murder… It is at this point that you realize that the Elder Wand might backfire if you try to use it against its master. You need to use a different weapon to be safe; that’s when a genius idea strikes you: you have a trained assault serpent ready to go!
It slips your mind entirely that in this case, by your own logic, it’s your snake that will become the master of the Elder Wand. You also ignore the fact that said snake contains the last piece of your almost-demolished soul that you need to stay alive.
If all your previous assumptions are correct, instead of taking control over the Elder Wand, you’re granting it to another living being who you’d then have to kill, too, to control the wand yourself. But this living being is your Horcrux, and killing it is basically killing yourself, too, to some extent.
If you’re right, not only did you not fix the main issue that brought you here (not being the Master of the Elder Wand), but you also created a much more serious problem (not being able to kill the new Master of the Elder Wand).
This begs a question we’d ask the Dark Lord if we ever met him: are you an actual idiot?
