Upcoming MCU Series May Finally Reveal One Avengers' Secret
Ironheart is getting pretty juicy with all the rumors flying around.
Another TV show of the MCU ’s Phase 5, Ironheart, will focus on Riri Williams, who was first introduced in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Dominique Thorne is coming back as Riri Williams. Anthony Ramos has been confirmed to play the antagonist, Parker Robbins, also known as The Hood.
The latest rumors suggest that the show will finally reveal one big secret — who owns the Avengers tower?
Avengers Tower, the iconic headquarters of Earth's mightiest heroes, has undergone a change in ownership. The tower was put up for sale, and its subsequent buyer remained a mystery.
It’s been six years since the last mention of the tower. In Spider-Man: Homecoming, we’ve seen how Happy supervised a moving of weapons and technology from Avengers tower.
Fans have been speculating ever since, suggesting that the tower could have been sold to Norman Osborn (Green Goblin), Reed Richards (Mr. Fantastic), Kingpin, or Kang’s variant.
However, there's a rumor going around that the new owner of the Avengers tower might be revealed in Ironheart, and it might be none other than Mephisto. Now, keep in mind, this isn't confirmed yet, but it's definitely got people talking.
Mephisto, a prominent character in Marvel comics, is a demonic entity associated with dark magic, manipulation, and deals for souls. He is a powerful and malevolent being who revels in making bargains that ultimately lead to suffering.
Mephisto has been expected to appear in the MCU for quite some time now. There was a huge speculation that he was pulling the strings in WandaVision. However, it turned out to be wrong... for the time being.
It was previously reported by Deadline that Sacha Baron Cohen will have a role in Ironheart, potentially, as Mephisto. So it is actually really plausible that Mephisto will be the one who acquired the Avengers tower. But why would he do it?
Perhaps Mephisto’s plan is to exploit the vast technological resources for his own dark purposes. This would enable him to enhance his power and further manipulate events in his favor.
It's also kind of controversial that Stark might have sold the tower to the bad guy. Maybe Mephisto disguised himself as a businessman, or maybe they struck a deal. That could totally be a subplot for the next projects.
Ironheart is expected to drop on Disney+ in 2024. So mark your calendars and get ready for some epic superhero action.
