If you were also upset that the Twilight finale was not the bloodbath it initially seemed to be... maybe there is a silver lining.

Twilight: Breaking Dawn disappointed a certain group of fans who actually believed that pretty much all of the main characters died in a violent clash with the Volturi family when they accused the Cullens of creating an immortal child.

There was actual outrage in the theaters when everyone realized that almost half of the Cullen family actually survived, even though those were the fan-favorite characters. But it was not that the fans actually wanted them dead – rather, they were angry at the creators for first daring to go so far and then playing the "it was all a dream" card.

Besides, there was another, even more disturbing thing. Jacob Black, the werewolf who had been in love with Bella Swan all along, suddenly imprinted himself on her and Edward's little daughter Renesmee – something that some fans still find creepy and cringe-worthy.

But some fans think there is an epic reason for it, and if you can come to terms with the fact that Jacob imprinted on his ex-crush's underage daughter, their love could make for a great story.

"From a lore perspective, no matter how it shakes out, that there's some cool reason for the one true alpha imprinting on a half vampire. Like in my mind this should be somehow integral to conclusively defeating the Volturi," Redditor Unwilling_heroes suggested.

If such an arc had ever been developed in a spin-off, it could have been a lore-changing thing for the Twilight universe. However, fans don't seem to trust Stephanie Meyer enough to develop such a complex story and handle the imprinting twist gracefully enough to make it work.

Apart from Meyer, no studio seems to be interested in developing a Twilight spin-off or revival/sequel... yet.
