2021 was a big year for Andrew Garfield – scoring an Oscar nomination for his turn in ‘tick, tick…BOOM’ and achieving universal praise for his role in ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’, which lead millions of fans to demand completion of Sony Spider-Man trilogy – looks like the fortune was finally on actor’s side. And Garfield certainly isn’t going to let this momentum go to waste.

The trailer for new prestige TV miniseries ‘Under The Banner Of Heaven’ marks Garfield’s return to small screens after 13 years of absence. True-crime series will follow a devout young detective, experiencing a major faith crisis amidst troubled investigation of brutal murder, somehow connected to American Christian fundamentalists and even to the Church itself.

And it looks like fans are all in for a more dramatic role for usually light hearted actor.

Some are already anticipating Garfield earning some serious accolades for his role.

‘Under The Banner Of Heaven’ premiers April 28 on Hulu.
