Tracker Just Got a Major Update, and I’m Excited About One Theory That’s Very Likely to Be True

CBS’ most-watched action drama of the latest TV season is getting closer to its comeback with a second season, and the most recent update may mean that things are getting more complicated for Colter Shaw.

Tracker ’s season 1 ended on a big cliffhanger leaving fans in a desperate wait for the series’ return to see Colter finally embarking on his own investigation of his father’s death and how exactly other members of his family are involved in the whole drama.

With Tracker’s storyline becoming way vaster and more abundant, the show has also just ended up with a major change which is nothing but a whole new level of excitement for its fans.

According to a recent report published by Creative BC, Tracker’s season 2 is set to kick its production off on July 16 and then end its run on CBS on April 22.

Considering that the show is now supposed to start airing alongside CBS’ other projects since the very beginning of the next TV season that starts in September, it may come as a clear sign of Tracker’s season 2 getting more episodes than the first installment.

I may not be the only one here who thinks that there could be no better timing for Tracker to come back with a bigger bunch of new episodes.

The season 1 ending made it clear that there was a lot for Colter to deal with, especially since he had big doubts regarding his estranged brother Russell’s role in their father’s mysterious passing. Additionally, he couldn’t even trust his mother after finding out about some big issues that his parents had before his dad’s passing.

Tracker’s major focus shift prioritizing Colter’s family mystery and leaving his job difficulties a bit aside was confirmed by Colter’s actor Justin Hartley months ago.

Upon the first season’s finale release, Hartley revealed that there was no certain idea for the second installment at that point, but everyone involved was eager to see Colter trying to clear up all the mess within his family that he kept intentionally ignoring.

Given that even then the actor made sure to let the viewers know that all the cast members who portray Colter’s relatives were set to return in the next season, I didn’t spend a single second doubting that the show was about to radically change its narrative.

Tracker will return to CBS with its season 2 this fall.
