Matt Damon shared a chilling revelation about Tom Cruise's approach to safety regulations, but honestly, we can't even pretend to be surprised at this point.

No one is ever surprised to hear about a new insane stunt Tom Cruise pulled off while shooting a movie of his.

For decades, the main features of Cruise that he's largely known for are his utter disregard for potential risks and unmatched adrenaline drive. This man has either a death wish or a top-level guardian demon on his shoulder.

While there are thousands of adrenaline junkies in the world, Tom Cruise is undoubtedly very special: to begin with, his stunts are watched by millions of people, and then again, he's insanely rich and has literally no need to keep putting himself at risk.

The actor's stunt doubles are just getting paid for watching Tom go at it himself. Climbing Burj Khalifa, running on top of a flying aircraft, yeeting himself off a cliff while riding a motorcycle…

There are fewer things left in the world that Cruise has already done than those he hasn't pulled off yet — at least when it comes to unnecessarily dangerous stunts with no safety measures whatsoever.

Speaking of safety measures: have you ever wondered what the safety specialists are doing on the sets of Tom Cruise's movies?

We can tell you what they're doing there — getting fired if they dare tell the actor that something's "too dangerous."

Matt Damon, a famous action star himself, recently shared his chilling dialogue with Tom Cruise. Damon was specifically interested in the Burj Khalifa climbing, and Cruise was happy to reveal the details.

His story, however, began with the firing of one safety specialist who was too responsible for the actor's liking.

"[Tom] goes, 'I've been thinking about this shot for 15 years!' And I'm like, 'Wow, really?' He goes, 'So I go to the safety guy, and I lay it all out. The safety guy goes, 'We can't do that. It's too dangerous, you can't do that.' So I get a new safety guy.' That's the beginning of his story," shocked Matt Damon disclosed.

Apparently, stunt doubles are not the only people on the sets of Tom Cruise's movies who are expected to just sit quietly in the corner.

Even if you're getting paid for ensuring the safety measures on the set, you really shouldn't oppose Tom Cruise's new insane idea… Then again, if one day, the man finally messes up, it'll be on you.

For Tom Cruise's "safety guys," it's unemployment or a legal lawsuit, it seems.
