One of Netflix's most popular series, Bridgerton, will focus on the relationship between Penelope Featherington and Colin Bridgerton in its third season.

As fans eagerly await Bridgerton 's new season, actress Simone Ashley, who plays Kate Sharma, has shared details that are sure to please anyone who follows the family's romantic adventures.

Bridgerton is the perfect combination of 19th century pomp, family intrigue and, of course, hot scenes.

Although the second season was much less frank than the first, this does not mean that the story of Anthony and Kate became more boring.

The actress confessed to ELLE what the fans can expect in the third season: "I just think it is going to be hotter than ever."

Well, that comment just raised the bar for fan expectations even higher.

The actress also revealed that fans will get to see a softer side of her character in the new series, thanks to her marriage to Anthony Bridgerton.

But what about the main storyline of the third season? The new season is based on the fourth book in the Bridgerton series, Romancing Mister Bridgerton.

In the first season, viewers learned that Penelope was in love with Colin, but he did not take the girl seriously. In the second season, Colin returned from a long trip and seems to have said goodbye to old crushes.

According to the official synopsis, Penelope decided to leave her feelings for Colin because of his unflattering words that she overheard and now strives to become independent from the family.

To win back Penelope's friendship, Colin offers to help her find a suitor. After a while, however, he begins to wonder if his feelings for Penelope are really just friendly.

Despite the absence of Simon Basset, the Bridgerton cast brought back all the main characters from the first season for the second, as well as adding a few new faces.

Most of the cast of the second season is expected to remain the same for the third one.

However, losses in the third season still could not be avoided. Actress Phoebe Dynevor, who played Daphne, has revealed that she won't be returning for the new season.

At the same time, she did not rule out that she might return to the role of Daphne in the future.

There is still no exact release date for the third season of Bridgerton, but we do know that it will air in 2023.
