This General Hospital Couple Is Unlikeable However Hard Writers Try

As many characters as there are in General Hospital, not all of them are equally interesting or likable.

While some are just plain evil or annoying, but play their roles so well that no one questions their existence, others may be much more decent in character, but very boring to watch.

And it is always unfortunate when this happens to someone the showrunners are trying so hard to make the center of attention.

What's even more unfortunate is that it happens with some couples. Either both characters are equally unexciting and become even worse when paired together, or one of them is so bland that it somehow affects the other.

Fans think the latter is the case with Willow Tait and Michael Corinthos, portrayed by Katelyn MacMullen and Chad Duell, who is supposed to be the "IT" couple of General Hospital right now.

They are overrated by no one but the show's writers and could benefit from being split up and toyed with.

In general, this debate over Willow and Michael goes back to the original, most prominent bone the fanbase has with General Hospital: this soap needs to be much soapier.

Many believe that the idea of Willow and Michael together could have ended up being loved by the audience if the writers had given them something to work against.

Something that isn't another tearjerker in the form of a terminal illness or some sort of tragic loss.

Give the fans a good old-fashioned scandal, give the fans some messy love stories, and give the fans intrigue and drama.

General Hospital needs to find a way to show that there's something behind the shallow veneer of the characters they try so hard to make the audience like.

And, who knows, maybe they will be ready to respond and get invested in the story they never thought they could.
