If you've ever wondered what the food of a hardcore anime fan would look like, then these bento looks are exactly what any Demon Slayer fan would go crazy for.

Anime conquered the world nearly half a century ago, and continues to do so.

Directors are referencing anime in their movies, rappers are inspired by characters and even taking their pseudonyms, and designers are releasing entire collections dedicated to Japanese animation.

And it turns out that there are dishes that are not only inspired by anime characters, but literally reproduce their appearance.

And they do it so well, in fact, that the mangakas themselves would appreciate such gastronomic delights.

Many manga adaptations are released every year, but only a few manage to gain worldwide recognition. But in Japan, hardly anyone doubted the success of the anime based on the manga by Koyoharu Gotouge, Demon Slayer.

Demon Slayer not only has colorful landscapes, but also characters with bright and interesting designs. As it turns out, these designs look very appetizing in the form of bento.

A bento is a box of food, or a lunch box. There is a whole culture of this food in Japan.

Instagram user nenetotomasaru (apparently, a big Demon Slayer fan) shows some of the most original bento you've ever seen.

Rengoku Kyojuro from Demon Slayer: Mugen Train is perhaps the most prominent of the bento characters. He's so realistic that it's hard to believe he's made entirely of food.

So if you still haven't come to terms with the anime's heartbreaking ending, you can just eat Rengoku... maybe it will make you feel better.

You can also see bento versions of Tanjiro, Shinobu, Mitsuri and Muzan. The latter you can definitely eat without a twinge of conscience in revenge for all his atrocities.

Demon Slayer anime adaptation is worth checking out even if you are not a big fan of anime and manga. The authors tried to avoid or smooth out genre clichés, to make the story dark and cruel without losing the humor.

And it's simply one of the most beautiful anime series. If these bentos didn't convince you... we don't know what will.
